🔵 Kodaclips ○ 27

  From ITALY

K
odaclips re-emerge with their new single 27, a track that defines the band's evolved identity. Showcasing a revamped lineup, the song melds shoegaze-influenced vocals with a gritty post-punk instrumental attitude.

Slated for release on January 09, 2026, 27 is the first of two singles out via Ravenna-based label Bronson Recordings.

Self-produced by the band, the track was recorded at Farmhouse Studio (Rimini) by Lorenzo Ricci, mixed by Andrea Volpato (Fox Recording Studio, Seattle), and mastered by Manuel Volpe (Okum Produzioni).

Drawing on the driving energy of post-punk legends such as Echo & the Bunnymen and Joy Division, the ethereal textures of 90s shoegaze icons (Slowdive, Lush) and its revival wave (Nothing, LSD and the Search for God), 27 introduces Kodaclips's new vocalist Linda Capuano. Her voice glides effortlessly over guitar-driven walls of sound and a pounding rhythm section, offering a fresh, dynamic impression of the band's current direction.
27 plunges the listener into a vortex of stillness, disassociation and fear of failure. It explores a distinct sense of nostalgia in a world spinning too fast to grasp. As the lyrics suggest "I feel, I’m nothing at all" even the simplest things feel unreachable, trapping the narrator in a cycle where "our days fly by."

The single is paired by a music video directed by Federico Canducci. Tightly locked to the song's sonic shifts, the video juxtaposes ethereal live performance shots with eerie woodland scenes, depicting a protagonist searching for a mysterious object, a visual metaphor for the song's existential uncertainty.

Kodaclips is an italian shoegaze and alternative band formed in the second half of 2021 in Cesena, near Italy's northern Adriatic coast.

Drawing from a wide range of individual artistic backgrounds, from psychedelia to stoner and progressive, this project successfully fuses these elements to create a distinctive sound that strongly recalls '90s aesthetics. Their shared passion for the second wave of shoegaze, particularly the italogaze movement, serves as the cohesive force behind their unique blend of melodic and experimental textures.

Kodaclips quickly moved from local shows to bigger stages after their debut in late 2021. A big break came when they secured the opening act role for A Place to Bury Strangers on their italian tour, playing major venues like Legend Club in Milan and Largo Venue in Rome.

In September 2022, they dropped their first album, Glances (Overdub Recordings). The title itself is a nod to a huge influence, referencing the lyrics of Slint's Spiderland. The following year, their single Not My Sound put them on the international map, getting a video premiere on Backseat Mafia and heavy rotation on stations like DKFM and Eardrum Buzz.

Kodaclips’ second album Gone Is the Day was then published by Sister 9 Recordings (Manchester, UK), whose catalogue includes names such as Kill Your Boyfriend, JuJu, The Dirt. This album was mixed and mastered by the renowned London producer James Aparicio (known for working with Spiritualized, Mogwai, Depeche Mode and many others).

Gone Is the Day is a deeper, more introspective dive into shoegaze, post-punk, and psychedelia, full of heavy reverb and distortion, with vocals floating in hypnotic spirals. The many reviews underlined how the band was moving beyond traditional shoegaze, bringing a fresh take to the genre.
In summer of 2024, Kodaclips played as the supporting act for Slowdive's performance in Italy, held at Villa Torlonia.

Gone Is the Day’s release was followed by intensive touring, with dates in UK, Belgium, France (with key shows in London, Leeds, Sheffield, Coventry and Paris) and Switzerland. The year 2025 opened up with the Balkans and Eastern Europe (Czechia, Slovakia, Serbia and Northern Macedonia).

In December 2024 Kodaclips were invited to play at Bronson in Ravenna, a key venue in Northern Italy, for the yearly Festival Passatelli in Bronson, organised in partnership with the national magazine Rumore. This marked the start of a collaboration with Bronson Recordings (Leatherette,Martin Bisi..) for the release of two brand new singles: 27 - out Jan 09th 2026, and Pirouette, which will be available on February 27th.

The new songs feature the vocals of Kodaclips’ new singer Linda Capuano. They’re mixed by Andrea Volpato (Painted Vein, Fox Recording Studio, Seattle) and mastered by Manuel Volpe (Okum Produzioni).

In January 2026 Kodaclips also perform at ESNS26 in Groningen, the most important showcase Festival in Europe, as a band definitely on the radar for bigger things to come.

Overall, Kodaclips continue to make significant strides in the shoegaze genre, captivating audiences with their evolving sound and memorable live performances.
