Savannah Pope’s new single, “Panopticon,” is a striking blend of art rock, cinematic pop, baroque drama, and cabaret. The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and visual artist draws on her own experiences with body image and sexual trauma to explore the lingering power of past relationships and the feeling of being constantly watched and judged.

Inspired by movie scores, opera, Florence + the Machine, and The Last Dinner Party, the track combines sweeping orchestration with intimate, brutally honest lyrics.
