Belau is one of the most promising electronica newcomers around the European music scene. In three years, they had more than 200 live performances in 25 countries. The debut LP, “The Odyssey” won the Hungarian Grammy in best electronic music album category. Their long-awaited sophomore album, titled Colourwave, made their name on international level, now they release the first single of the new Belau era, with a stunning, dreamy video called Dreamstate.
“Take You to The Sea” – claims about their compositions. Belau (Peter Kedves and Krisztian Buzas) is a band who tries to provide shelter for the modern human through their music - representing the path to self-awareness through the depth of the individual - by making modern and elegant electronic beats with longing lyrics driven for the solace of the mind. Forever inspired by the fundamental elements of the nature, especially the infinite sea.
The duo had many international successes. In the last years they played more than 200 shows in 25 countries and impressed audiences at renowned festivals like Primavera, Eurosonic, Electric Castle, Sziget, SXSW – to name just a few. Belau was supported by radios like BBC Radio 1, Triple J or KEXP and mediums like Clash Music, Billboard, The Line of Best Fit, or Rolling Stone. Their debut album won the Hungarian Grammy Award, the second one streamed by millions and had massive radio successes.
After the outstanding Colourwave era Belau returns with a brand new single called Dreamstate featuring the lovely aussie vocalist, Akacia who had over 50 million streams across platforms. “The history of transfiguration is deeply rooted in our culture, but for most of us, the grace we are possibly able to live towards ourselves is distant, mystical and looks impossible to have access to in this profane world. Although this road, on the other hand, is available for everyone, if you walk through it, it feels like an actual “dreamstate”. The song tells the story of a life beyond our own limits, a shift from stagnation to progress, a way out of our own dread.
A man who is much wiser than us once claimed that only if such an internal process takes place in the individual hearts - and then, of course, outwards - is the way to bring eternal peace to the societies of the world. and there is certainly nothing else that Belau could support even more in these increasing dynamics of the world. We are all made out of gold” – said the electronica duo about the new single which is a dreamy lofi r’n’b hymn.
“We made a video for Dreamstate in Malta with one our good friend. Spent four days on these beautiful islands, at daytime we discovered the breathtaking landscapes at the evening we played some live shows, such good memories” - continued Belau who’re currently working on their third LP. Hungary’s No.1 musical export good, Belau will continue their European tour included some summer festivals.
