In the beginning there was nothing, and then there was the tragicomical emo-pop that is ‘Bony Macaroni’. Today they release the last single off their upcoming debut album 'The Big Bucks', out March 31st on Redfield Records. Musically ‘Bombs Away’ is a more laid-back touching piece, and the content is totally heartbreaking.
'Bombs Away' is picking up the topic of the album in a more serious way. Singer Stefan Bonestroo: “’Bombs Away’ is a song about wanting to escape the conditions that made me the person I am. Coming from a family that struggled financially for a long time, as a result of the 2008 financial crisis, there is nothing more I want than for my family to be safe.
“ Additionally there lines like: „It’s been 12 years since I first saw my father cry in the absence of a clear-cut explanation or a reason why. Like some fucking force of nature, a certain recalibration of all things expendable.“ I’m not crying, YOU’RE crying!
The single is out on all platforms now, accompanied by an intimate → acoustic live session.
'The Big Bucks' will be released by German label Redfield Records on March 31st, i.c.w. Suburban (NL) and Say Something Records (UK). It's available for pre-order now via https://redfield-records.
