Made Out Of Stone is the first single anticipating Evil Design, the debut Sir Petrol album, to be released October 17th, 2025 by Elefante Rec.
Made Out Of Stone is an hallucinatory, glamourous, somewhat funny ride into the morbidity of hypochondria: the obsession with the disease and the constant terror of having something hidden in our body that slowly eats us from the inside.
A repetitive, hypnotic yet danceable bassline mimics these recurring morbid thoughts, in sharp contrast with the acid and nevertheless seductive vocals, climbing up and sliding down the textures of trip pop electronica and guitar riffs.
A perfect introduction to the surreal, dreamlike and nightmarish Sir Petrol's world.
THE VIDEO
The video clip, directed by Miyagi Studios (Anurag Borgetti, Irina Prodan and Yuri Sacchelli, with the help of Paolo Tasso) is based on the script written by Sir Petrol herself.
Thanks to the location and the actors involved, it is a proper short film radiating satirical horror vibes.
The main character represents Sir Petrol's subconscious, as a patient who finds himself on the cold table of an OR, scared and unaware of what is about to happen, surrounded by a freaky medical team.
Soon the big man has his liver removed (to symbolize the erosion caused by the paranoia of the disease itself) and, when the surgery's over, he tries in vain to escape from the building, that's a metaphor for the human mind, which is indeed infinite, but without emergency exits.
When he finally accepts being part of the building, he also becomes part of the medical team, embodying paranoia, acceptance and awareness, and thus making room for a new patient, a new liver, a new self-consuming obsession.
