RAGS AND RICHES are an adrenalized, American pop-rock band hailing from Lexington, Kentucky. Formed in 2017, the band features brothers Tanner & Peyton Whitt. Over the last four years, the band has discovered their unique sound, identity and aesthetic. 

Combining influences from the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons and Thirty Seconds to Mars, the band deliver a modern Queen-esque sound while staying true to their desire of having no defining genre.

Their latest single “CROSSFIRE” is a mantra for staying mentally strong through life's battles and anxieties. Written with fellow Kentucky musician Cody Morgan, the song gives two different views on this mantra, with Tanner explaining, “My verse was written from the perspective of how I let others' words tear me down and Cody’s verse from the perspective of his internal voice tearing himself down through stress and anxiety.”

Opening with a strong attack on the drums and gritty electric riffs, hitting you like a hot blast, the track immediately brings the fire. Ablaze with complex dynamics, the song brings a sense of might and power, with its electric energy and raspy vocals making a fierce, motivating pop/rock anthem. If you are going to listen to “CROSSFIRE” be ready to feel like you can do the impossible. 

Through their organic, kaleidoscope of creative abilities the brothers hope to be a light to guide people for owning what it is to be human - to grab life by the horns and live to the fullest, embracing all the twist and turns on the rollercoaster of it all. RAGS AND RICHES have impressively clocked over 750,000 Spotify streams and over 500,000 YouTube views. Their single “Arrival” is the official track for Target’s YouTube advert. With numerous tour dates scheduled for 2021, RAGS AND RICHES are forging ahead.
