Electronic Monsters is the fourth Seasurfer full-length and, after the Zombies album, the second with the current Seasurfer singer Apolonia.

Other guest singers can also be heard on the album: the wonderful Gloria Endres de Oliveira, a multidisciplinary visual artist from Berlin with Brazilian origins, the singers Jana Marie and Jade from Hamburg, with ethereal voices and long reverb tails.

Dirk Knight on the album: "On this album I used everything that influenced me: the 80s sound I grew up with, the later period with the shoegazer wall of sound, dark electronica. For me, coming from a more traditional band, some songs sound like electronic monsters.

That's why there's a bass or guitar in every song. But it's nice to let go, be free and use the music to build your own soundscapes. And not forgetting to work with singers who inspire me and give me beautiful emotions."

With the intent of combining the ethereal dream pop tones of his former band Dark Orange with the punk influence of the Damned and the Ramones, songwriter/guitarist Dirk Knight launched Seasurfer in 2013, referring to the new project as dream punk.

A short set of early demos landed them a deal with shoegaze/dream pop enthusiasts Saint Marie Records from Texas, which released Seasurfer first two albums.

Seasurfer sound today is broader, incorporating wall of sound, heavenly voices, fat basses, beats, guitars and electronics.

Knight has also worked with musicians such as Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins, Jason Corbett of the Actors, John Fryer (4AD, This Mortal Coil) and Elena Alice Fossi of Kirlian Camera.
