opeless is the debut album from Isolated System, Geraldine SamsarÅ's solo project, born in Rimini in 2023 from an initial collective vision and subsequently evolving into a personal and independent adventure. This journey develops as a visceral expression of a feminine sensibility, in which every creative aspect—lyrics, music, production, and visual imagery—is entirely curated by the artist herself.
Hopeless navigates the dark and tense terrain typical of alternative rock, between dry atmospheres and nervous impulses devoid of comfort, while also traversing more rarefied and introspective moments.
The songs maintain a constant sense of instability and reject reassuring linearity, recalling the emotional urgency of Joy Division, the expressive brutality of PJ Harvey, the harshness of Sonic Youth, and the obsessive tension of Nine Inch Nails, without ever resolving into quotation or nostalgia.
The lyrics uncompromisingly explore the human experience at its cruxes: complex and liminal internal states—unbalanced relationships, fragility, distorted perceptions—with a direct and unselfconscious gaze, capable of providing a lucid narrative of the human experience in its moments of transition and redefinition.

The making of Hopeless was long and complex: a writing and production process layered over time and far from linear. Although traversed by changes, rethinking, and redefinitions, it ultimately found its own compact and coherent form.
