lesh is the new single by the Norvegian composer and performer Synne Sanden, which will be released on March 13th, 2026. It is followed by an electronic/dance remix of the song, signed by the experimental musician, and Synne's partner, Kim Reenskaug.

Flesh is the tail of Unfold, her latest album, but it's a stand alone song.

Flesh is written by Synne and produced by her, Lars Horntveth, Peter Estdahl and Kim Reenskaug. On the song you hear vocals, synths, vibraphone, strings and beats. You hear the producers together with Lars Fremmerlid, Henrik Schmidt and Lise Sørensen.

Synne says about the song:

“I wrote Flesh as a protest against all kinds of violence. The song describes how violence objectifies the ones that are exposed to it, and how violence often comes from people who are wounded, and in this way is transferred.

I felt a sorrow and anger when I realized that there are so many that have experienced violence, either in romantic relationships, in their childhood, in the streets or in war. The emotion triggered a wish and I needed to write about this.

Through this song I want to give a voice to the ones who have experienced violence and describe how violence can hurt and damage.

I wrote this song some years ago, in the period when I wrote Unfold. So in a way, it’s connected to the album, but it needed to be released as an independent piece.”
